Before you start

A quick checklist so your identity review and sandbox purchase go smoothly.

Allow about 5–10 minutes

You’ll submit your identity with ID-Circle, wait for review, then receive instructions to fund a testnet purchase. Identity review may take longer if additional information is needed.

Have your Identity app ready

The ID-Circle app is used to scan the QR code and approve the secure identity request.

  • Install or update the ID-Circle Identity app.
  • Make sure your identity wallet is unlocked.
  • Keep your phone available while the QR code is displayed.
  • Use the same identity wallet throughout this journey.

The identity QR process happens in ID-Circle. NED-Circle never receives your identity evidence.

Prepare an Ethereum wallet

You’ll need a wallet that you control to receive the sandbox stablecoins.

Kraken WalletUse the standalone Kraken Wallet app and its Ethereum-compatible wallet address.
MetaMaskUse a MetaMask account that supports the configured Ethereum testnet.
Another Ethereum walletAny compatible EVM wallet is suitable if it can receive the configured testnet token.
  • Install the wallet app and make sure you can unlock it.
  • Use the same destination wallet throughout the purchase.
  • Confirm that your wallet supports Ethereum Sepolia and the BIPUSD test token used by this demo.
  • Keep your public wallet address available if the Source or BIP Circle flow asks you to confirm it.

Important: Kraken Wallet is different from a Kraken exchange account. Do not use an exchange deposit address unless the purchase instructions explicitly say to. Never share a seed phrase, private key, password, or recovery code with NED-Circle, ID-Circle, or BIP Circle.

Prepare your documents

You may be asked to present credentials or provide supporting information.

  • A valid passport or identity credential in your Identity app.
  • Proof of address if requested during review.
  • Clear, readable documents with details that match your identity wallet.
  • Access to any additional information requested by the reviewer.

Only upload documents inside the secure ID-Circle experience.

Understand the stages

The journey keeps your progress and reference available if you leave and return later.

  1. IdentityScan, consent, and verify with ID-Circle.
  2. ReviewID-Circle Portal checks the submission.
  3. FundUse the sandbox payment reference provided.
  4. Mint and completeBIP Circle mints BIPUSD and confirms the testnet transaction.

Know what to expect

This is a controlled sandbox demonstration.

  • No real money is required or transferred.
  • The token is BIPUSD on Ethereum Sepolia.
  • Review and blockchain confirmation can be asynchronous.
  • You’ll receive a journey reference and can save a resume link.
